Default Greetings from area/code

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from area/code, the folks who created Chain Factor. We just wanted to say thanks for playing. We had a blast making this game and we hope you enjoyed it.

We were blown away by the energy, creativity, and ingenuity you guys demonstrated, both in the large-scale, collaborative problem-solving of the overall mystery and in your amazing, expert-level play of the core puzzle-game. Well done!

Please continue to play the flash game as much as you want, no need to re-assemble it out of parts scavenged from the wreckage of the destroyed economy.

We have set up a contact address: chainfactor@areacodeinc.com if you have questions or comments, but now that the narrative arc is complete I can't promise prompt responses, and we're likely to be just about as quick fixing real bugs as spectre was.

Thanks! This was good stuff. I actually managed to solve one of the puzzles! And the game is fun too (thanks for leaving it up for posterity).

I came late to the party, but yeah good job on creating an actually good game to go along with the ARG. I didn't even know this was an ARG until several days of playing the game.

Thanks a lot, guys at area/code. The cover game was one of the best put-together that I've seen yet.

Cool, it's an ARG developer. (and for that matter, a video game developer. Nice DS concept you have there )

I'd actually love to see a portable version of ChainFactor for DS or PSP. Just with some more features, powers... maybe even a multiplayer mode. After all, portable puzzle games sell. Look at Lumines and Tetris DS...

Chiming in also -- I had lots of fun playing CF and in particular trying to get error codes.

I'm going to second eranmane's request -- one of my favorite puzzle-type games of all time is Tetris Attack, because of its head-to-head battle mode. I'd love to see the same for Chain Factor.

So, in conclusion, thanks for the game, guys

Antimatter,

We love Tetris Attack, Planet Puzzle League is a favorite area/code office game, and a big inspiration for Chain Factor (even though the gameplay is much different). A DS version with head-to-head competition is a great idea.

Actually, if CF is released commercially you might want to erase these forums and re-start the ARG, only with more TV tie-ins than before. Of course there's some guys from UnFiction who could find that all too familiar, but you can always ban them..
